About Shamaila Q.
Shamaila is a published interior designer with a 6-year-old business, Squidil, that emerged from her decision of prioritizing motherhood.
After launching her business, she soon realized that many women silently carry the weight of reinvention with each new role that life throws at them- a woman, a wife, a mother, an entrepreneur and a care giver. They fear the loss of ambition and feel the pressure to stay relevant.
What began as a creative outlet soon became her self-discovery journey -this time to align herself in her values deeply rooted in faith. After a 4-year degree in Fehm-ul-Quran (tafseer), she runs the same business but now as means of barakah, in a way that honors the rhythm of her life and the trust Allah places in us to lead with excellence. And from this realignment, something even greater was born: a mentorship program for Muslim women.
This program is a living playbook—a culmination of every pivot, prayer, and purpose-led decision she made to build a life that operates from a place of abundance not depletion, a life that is not driven by hustle culture but embedded in practical Islamic principles and to move with clarity-not with cultural limitations. The goal became to help Muslim women become the highest version of themselves in Deen and Duniya so they don’t have to struggle through as she did.
